TEC Members Outperform
In August 2010, TEC members were surveyed in order to compare their companies' performance over the period of the Global Financial Crisis with that of other companies across Australia.
TEC members know what it takes to lead their businesses to the next level. TEC CEO member companies significantly outperformed the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) survey cohort during the 2008-09 financial year.
TEC members are a special group of business leaders who can provide valuable personal and business insights based on their extraordinary achievements. With varying professional backgrounds, this unique peer group provides a mix of expertise, allowing members to tap into different perspectives and solve difficult challenges. That expertise gives members a tremendous sense of trust in the capabilities of their TEC group to help them become more effective as a leader.
During the 2008-09 financial year, the average TEC SME member company's revenue increased by 7.6%, whereas the national cohort declined by 0.84%.
With employment, TEC member firms on average increased employment by 3.30% while their national peers reduced staff by 3.01%*.
