Career & Achievements: Bob has held chief executive, managing director, and other senior executive roles in corporate, joint venture and line management positions in Australia, New Zealand, several countries in Asia and the USA. His industry experience spans the hospitality, food service and airline catering sectors.
He founded Caterair Australia (1989) and later acquired the catering operations of Air New Zealand merging the two businesses in 1997. By 2000 the business had grown to nine operating locations, had over 1700 associates and total revenues exceeded $200 million annually.
Following the successful sale of the Australian business to Qantas at the end of 2000, he chose to stay on with the parent organisation as a senior adviser of operations, acquisitions and business development for the Asia Pacific region. Later, Bob worked with Ronald J. Walker, AO CBE, evaluating the public and corporate catering operations of the Australian Grand Prix and examining the feasibility of a major business acquisition.
Bob worked for several national and international food service and catering firms providing leadership development, management-employee cultural understanding and operational efficiencies from 2004-2006. In 2007 Bob was invited to join The Executive Connection and in August became the Chairman of TEC 7.
Education & Associations: In September 2006, he earned his GAICD from the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD). In December, Bob was elevated to a Fellow of the AICD.
